The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high caliber operations professional with a minimum ten years experience in operations within the hotel industry. Significant operations experience in a number of franchise brand families and independent lifestyle segments is required, along with an understanding and appreciation for food and beverage and a service culture experience that emphasizes a high level of customer and team member satisfaction. The VPO will be reputed as an excellent team builder and strong coach, with the ability to recruit, retain and mentor top-quality talent while creating an environment of accountability and trust at all levels. He/She is able to shift between strategy and tactics; willing and able to roll up his/her sleeves as an individual contributor while providing strong leadership to the Operations organization. The VPO will have a firm understanding of hotel operational fundamentals, as well as geographically diverse market knowledge. He/She will be comfortable with complex financial structures and high-profile capital partners.
